Since 1988, NewFest: The New York Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Film Festival has been one of the most comprehensive forums of international LGBT film/video, and an important exhibition platform for independent film/video makers. Each year, NewFest provides a professional and public context for the presentation of innovative and challenging work that reflects the broad range of practice and ideas found in contemporary media.
Submissions of films/videos by, about, or of interest to lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, or transgendered persons are now being accepted for NewFest 2007, which will take place May 31-June 10. In addition, submitted works under 30 minutes by NYC area makers are eligible for programming in NewFest’s new monthly Local Shorts Showcase at the IFC Center!
