I thought I would try and win your heart
through a sincere poem and roses
even a stuffed bear but all the roses in the world...
even every heart felt word
couldn't make you mine...I know this now.
I sort of wish I could have been strong enough
to give it to you. As hard as I may seem....
my heart is as fragile as anyone else's'.
I couldn't bear the thought of you declining my request.
So I'll try to flush my feelings away
and move on. I'll continue to admire you
from a far..compliment you and be your friend only.
I'll go back to my search but for now I'll remain lonely.
