
In This Moment: A Journaling Meditation

Take three deep breaths to ground and center yourself. Open your journal, and write the
following sentences, leaving a space of several lines between each:
In this moment, I will name three things about myself that I wish to celebrate.
In this moment, I will name three things for which I wish to express gratitude.
In this moment, I will name three ways in which I am empowered to act on my behalf.
In this moment, I will name three ways in which I am empowered to act on behalf of others.
In this moment, I will name three dreams that will come true.
Put your journal aside for now. Again, take three deep breaths, gently closing your eyes, and
allow your consciousness to find a place of centeredness and stillness within. After meditating for
ten to fifteen minutes, open your eyes, take up your journal, and address each statement, writing
for each a list of three items.
If you wish, find images from your favorite Tarot deck or decks to reflect the spirit of some or all
of the items you have named. Spend a moment with each card, enjoying its energy and its
blessing.
