Trust sure goes a long way with me
Without it I don’t know where we would be
Like seeing into your soul and knowing it is pure
Almost like having not to lock your front door while you sleep at night
So reassuring because there is no doubt everything is all right
Trust can be lost in a blink of an eye
Lies, deceit, assumption, and games are all the reasons why
Similar to that feeling you get when you feel someone is staring at you
Or even having a terrible dream that seems just so true
When trust is lost you feel there is nothing you can do
Rebuilding tarnished trust can seem so darn hard at first
There are the insecurities and feelings waiting to burst
Things like this you must not let ruin something you feel is worth keeping whole
Love, growing, and forgiving are all first steps to soothe the soul
Once you feel secure again you will know by the way you behave
It is then up to the other to make sure this trust remains intact
For forgiving is one thing but lost of trust once more just may send them to an early grave
Be it miniscule or gigantic, problems that cause the loss of trust should not be ignored
Nonchalant attitudes, immaturity, and nasty demeanors are always abhorred
Finally trust regained is like a brand new start given to thee
Trusting in you is easy with love, respect, loyalty, and more
I trust in you and you can trust in me
