love feels like the warmth of ocean water exactly 98.7 degrees,
it feels like a falling star that lands in your lap,
it feels like the personification of pleasurable images you hide in your mind,
it feels like laughter when there is no joke,
yes love, for the all of which we seek feels like
being there when you have not arrived,
it feels like rain drops not originating from the sky,
yes, it feels like all the dreams you have yet to have,
like the dreams that bring fruition to all you hold dear,
to all that is inside of you,
yes, love feels like the greatest climax you have ever had,
that is before you even you knew you weren’t touched,
it feels like a baby yet conceived,
it feels like wine,
coffee and me,
it feels like rewards unearned,
it feels like,
graciousness unlearned,
it feels like a brush against your being,
it feels like the quiver you try to conceal,
it feels like the kiss and hot breath from a lover not present,
it feels like un-birthday presents,
it feels like all the wishing you have
yet to reveal coming true for no other reason than
to please you;
Yes, love feels; and it feels like copulation in broad day light,
no shame,
no loss,
no gain,
yes, it comes and it goes,
but, love always feels as if it knows…
