An angel was sent to me
On a night in September
No ordinary angel was she
The details I do remember
She had no wings or halo
She did not sing or fly
But her skin did seem to glow
And she had a twinkle in her eye
She stood tall and proud
Dressed in regular clothes
As she spoke aloud:
"W'sup young" and gave a hug
I said "Hey" and gave a shrug
Not knowing that before me stood an angel
Who would one day save my life
Not knowing that feelings would grow
And I would want her to be my wife

An angel was sent to me
On a night in September
And even if she leaves
"*****" I will always remember
