Looking for journal entries,<br \/>\npersonal essays, creative autobiographical fiction,<br \/>\npoetry or whatever way the words come together to<br \/>\ndescribe your coming out. This book is intended to be<br \/>\na resource for black women coming out of marriage, and<br \/>\nfor the women who love them.<\/p>\n<p>Some questions to address are: How did you tell him?<br \/>\n(The &#8220;honey, can we talk&#8221; speech?) What language did<br \/>\nyou use to communicate your secret? Did you know your<br \/>\norientation before you got married or after? Why<br \/>\ndidn&#8217;t you keep it to yourself? Were there any fears<br \/>\nof violence? Did it delay your coming out? What is the<br \/>\npresent state of your relationship with him? Do you<br \/>\nhave any regrets? Do your kids know? How do you manage<br \/>\nco-parenting with your ex-husband? If you left your<br \/>\nhusband and are not out, how do you co-parent? Was<br \/>\nthere any collateral damage? How did you find new<br \/>\nsupport systems while finding yourself?<\/p>\n<p>We are also looking for stories from women who are<br \/>\npartnered with formerly married women, addressing<br \/>\ntheir point of view surrounding these issues.<\/p>\n<p>Please send submission, double-spaced and typed (no<br \/>\nmore than 35 pages) along with a SASE to the address<br \/>\nbelow.
