That\u2019s why black.\/womyn: conversations\u2026 is such a breath of fresh air. The documentary contains interviews with a wide variety of black lesbians who discuss a multitude of topics.<\/p>\n<p>I would say that the overarching theme of the movie is: How do you exist\/survive in a world where everything that you are (black, female, lesbian) is NOT valued\u2013if not downright despised?<\/p>\n<p>Though people are frank and honest, it\u2019s not a depressing film at all and has quite a bit of humor.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>About the DVD:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blackwomynfilm.wordpress.com\/buy-the-dvd\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-888 aligncenter\" title=\"blackwomynfilm\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kuma2.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/blackwomynfilm.gif?resize=198%2C306\" alt=\"\" width=\"198\" height=\"306\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Time and care went into the designing of this package&#8211;it looks like a special, deluxe edition.
