Donations are usually tax deductible and, in these times where everyone is cutting back, nonprofits are being hit hard.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t know of any lgbt nonprofits in your area? Here are some suggestions&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>If you are a writer or reader of black lgbt literature, you may send a coin or two to <a href=\"http:\/\/fireandink.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fire &amp; Ink<\/a>.<br \/>\nIf you want to add volume to our national voice, there&#8217;s the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbjc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Black Justice Coalition<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zunainstitute.org\/\">Zuna Institute<\/a>.<br \/>\nIf you are concerned about the plight of our youth, check out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ruthelliscenter.org\">The Ruth Ellis Center<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fiercenyc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fierce<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smyal.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Smyal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s see, there&#8217;s also: <a href=\"http:\/\/alp.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Audre Lorde Project<\/a>, your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifbprides.org\/ifbp_prides.php\">local black pride<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.astraeafoundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Astraea Foundation<\/a>&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>If there is a lgbt nonprofit that you want to suggest, please feel free to shout it out in the comments section (with a link to the site).<\/p>\n<p>We hope you and your families enjoy the holidays&#8211;and everyday.
